In a recent post from Bleeping Computer they reveal how a Ukrainian citizen was arrested for exploiting cloud servers to be used to mine cryptocurrency. This has been happening for a couple years now with the cost of crypto miners and electricity, with this maybe being the largest one that has been revealed. Network operators even small ones should do their due diligence to make sure their networks and cloud accounts are secure against such exploits.
